Producer, Anant Singh announced yesterday that the internationally acclaimed film, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom will be released in China on 18 July through China Film Group Corporation, the state film distribution body which administers the quota of foreign films released in the country. On the arrival of the French President François Hollande in South Africa today, Anant Singh announced that France will be the first European country to release Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom on 18 December 2013. The film will be released by French media giant, Pathé.
Pathé will release the film across France on more than 350 screens, and it will be the first release of this magnitude for a South African film.
